George made it thru the London Marathon | ||

Well, I did it! I finished between a shoe and a bottle of lucazade, and I loved it. So thank you all for supporting me as well as the Sutton and Croydon MS Center. On the build up to the run it really was what kept me going. I became pretty bored of going running and it really was knowing that I'd have to write a letter apologizing to you for not completing due to lack of back bone. So I kept running. and it payed off! 4h 11m was my time, so Ginnie your money is safe, if only I'd been more aggressive at the start! Way to many people for my liking. its a bit like walking down Oxford Street when its full, only running! Right back to the real world, I am off to Italy today. Hopefully the warm air will sooth my achy joints. I will try to contact you all individually when I get back. Thank you all very much again for standing behind me on what was probably the biggest challenge of my life so far. It meant a huge amount and together we have made a difference to the lives of the men and women who visit the center. Take care and have fun. George x | ||
